Herring spoke of in an announcement: “This basic turned into a referendum on the development we have made on civil rights, criminal justice reform, healthcare entry, clear air and water, victims’ rights, gun violence prevention, and consumer insurance policy, and voters made it clear that they want to retain the progress going.”
Jones issued a statement Tuesday evening congratulating Herring and announcing he’d work “relentlessly” to choose Democratic candidates in the fall.
